MEDHA derives from the Sanskrit word मेधा — meaning intelligence, wisdom, insight, and inner power.

True to its name, MEDHA 1.0 represents the first working intelligence within the KARR-AI engineering platform.

MEDHA 1.0 is the world's first AI Vertical Transportation (VT) design model, delivering automated, code-compliant VT design intelligence in minutes instead of weeks—combining deep domain expertise with artificial intelligence.

MEDHA powers KARR AI's complete VT design workflow—from processing architect drawings and unit mix data to generating comprehensive design reports. KARR-AI was born quietly in early 2025 in Dubai, a city that represents the cutting edge of architectural ambition and engineering complexity. After nearly three decades in the vertical transportation (VT) industry, working across consulting, design, sales engineering, EPC delivery, and major project leadership, one question kept returning to me: why does so much critical engineering knowledge remain locked inside manual workflows and individual experience?

While continuing my full-time role as a Senior VT Consultant and Design Manager at VTI Global in Dubai, I began exploring whether engineering judgment itself could be structured, modeled, and responsibly assisted by artificial intelligence. That exploration led to the creation of KARR-AI, a bootstrapped research venture, and to MEDHA 1.0, the world’s first AI model dedicated exclusively to Vertical Transportation design intelligence.

Named after the Sanskrit word Medha, meaning intelligence, wisdom, and insight, MEDHA 1.0 is not a black-box automation tool. It is an AI-assisted engineering model, built around code-driven logic, structured reasoning, and a human-in-the-loop validation philosophy. The system integrates modern front-end interfaces, robust back-end logic, secure data layers, and large language models to support VT design workflows, reducing effort from weeks to minutes while preserving professional accountability.

This model has been developed patiently, during weekends, late nights, using design references from past executed small to mega projects of various sectors, ensuring that its logic reflects real buildings, real constraints, and real authority expectations.

MEDHA 1.0 would not exist without the contribution of a highly talented core team member, Mr. Syed Ayman Naushad, a computer science graduate from Heriot-Watt University with a master’s specialization in AI and cyber security from the University of Warwick. I am also deeply grateful for the guidance and technical support of MK and SK, AI engineers based in Dubai and London respectively, whose insights have helped shape the model’s architecture and long-term direction.

Behind this visible effort also lies the quiet and unwavering support of my wife Vijaya, whose patience and encouragement made countless late nights possible, and my daughter Medha, after whom the first AI model is named, and who continues to inspire the values of clarity, intelligence, and purpose that this work represents.

This website marks a launch announcement, not a commercial release. MEDHA 1.0 will continue to be trained and validated over the coming months before moving toward production readiness. While MEDHA remains dedicated solely to the Vertical Transportation discipline, KARRA AI FZ LLC intends to develop similar AI engineering models for other building services disciplines in the future, following the same philosophy of responsibility, domain depth, and professional oversight.

KARR-AI is not about replacing engineers. It is about preserving engineering intelligence, enhancing clarity, and equipping the next generation with better tools, built responsibly and grounded in real-world experience.
